We had such a good reception with the I ❤️ Willy Street Autumn IPA, (and love our neighborhood), so we decided to make some t-shirts proclaiming our love for Willy Street. And what better way to celebrate than to gather and clean up our little corner of the neighborhood together!
Meet outside Working Draft at 3:15pm on Sunday 11/15 (right after the end of the Packer game) for a neighborhood trash clean-up to celebrate the release of our new “I ❤️ Willy Street” t-shirts.
$5 from each shirt will be split between the Social Justice Center and the Williamson - Marquette Business Alliance.
How it works
🤝 Meet up. We’ll gather at Working Draft just after the end of the Packer game, around 3:15ish. The Pack play the Vikings at noon, and we’ll definitely have the game on, so join us :)
🛟 Safety first. Mike from DIPPUL (Drinking In Public Picking Up Litter) will give us a talk on how best to enjoy ourselves while being safe cleaning up the neighborhood.
🧤 Gear up. We’ll provide gloves and trash bags for everyone, plus a limited number of grabber poles (first come, first served). If you’ve got something that helps you safely pick up trash, bring it along. Gear is available on the patio until 3:30 if you’re running a little late.
🚶 Hit the sidewalks. Get into groups of 2-4 people and walk from Working Draft in any direction, picking up trash as you go.
⚖️ Circle back. Aim to be back at Working Draft around 4:30. Drop your trash bag in our parking lot, where we’ll weigh it before it goes in the dumpster. We’ll tally the total pounds of trash collected to see how much we cleared together.
🧼 Wash up and come on in. Head on into the taproom and have a beer on us for helping beautify the neighborhood.
And if you like the I ❤️ Willy Street shirts, anyone who participates in the clean-up gets $5 off a shirt (along with that free beer!). And don’t worry, we’ll still donate $5 of the proceeds.
Do some good, have some fun, and enjoy a beer while doing it. Sounds like a great way to celebrate a great community!
